upon watching the replay I realized he was doing some weird stuff also, now I feel less bad! also in the final battle, I whittled his hero's health down to almost nothing, and he ran it over to a fountain of healing next to some awake creeps. he was just outside the healing effect though, and eventually the creeps started attacking him, killing his hero. that's where he left the game! silly silly.
