Here we are, the final game for the month. Let's get straight to it!

This game so *several expletives deleted* awesome!

Game: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time

System: SNES

Time spent on game: 59 minutes

Cheats used: Infinite Lives(to give the game a Multiple Arcade Machine Engine feel.)

Difficulty played on: Hard(which I actually find the easiest when playing with 2 players, since you have 5 continues each.)

God, this game is so awesome! To me, it's the last great TMNT beat em up! Good ol Konami just made so many awesome action titles, and even today they haven't stopped. They're one of my all time favorite game companies.

Anyways, I'll stop myself before going off a too big rant on how awesome Konami is, and focus on my experience of this game. Let me just say that this was my childhood best friend's favorite game, and when I knew him, it was my favorite game as well.

Ok, so I chose Donatello as my turtle of choice. I've always loved his range, and I always liked him because of the fact that he was the smart one in the cartoon and movies. I also remember people always mentioning in the arcades that he was the one that's best against bosses.

So I go through the first level, which is easily beatable without losing a life. The boss that's the human fly known as Baxter Stockman was quite easy, and I love how he kills himself by falling off the bridge once you beat him. It's one of my earliest moments as a gamer where suicide is involved.

The Second level, I lost a life fighting the robot turtle boss with the catchphrase "I"m gonna mangle you slimeballs!"

The Third level, aka the games first of 2 bonus levels, I somehow went through without losing more than one life. The whole "My toes! My toes!" is alway priceless, and man is the rat king boss fun to fight. "First the sewers, then the world!"

The Fourth level, aka the technondrome level. Fun level where you fight Tokah(SP?) and Razar(sp?) halfway through it, with their famous movie quote "Master said that we should have fun!" "Fun!" I always found the battle to be a joke, but then again, even in the movie that's what they were. Eventually you make it to the real boss, shredder in a giant machine. To beat him, you actually have to throw foot soldiers at him. Yeah, this is one of the uber rare games where you get to throw enemies at the screen. I remember as a kid I couldn't really pull this off, so when I played with my best friend, he'd do the throwing, while I did my best to do crowd control, making sure that there weren't too many soldiers overwhelming us. At the end, Shredder decides that since he can't kill you after 3 games, he'll get you out of the way, by sending you through time.

Fifth level, you're in the time of the dinosaurs, with Foot soldiers even riding them. The boss of the level, Slash is quite the different type of boss. He's a turtle like you, with a shell, but you have to attack him from the back, as he parries with his sword if you attack him from the front. Love how he himself commits suicide, via jumping in a volcano.
