This is true, but if you've got someone like Luke, whose mastery of the Force has far surpassed both Palps' and Yoda's, while simultaneously being an insanely talented duelist...well, that's when you become dang near unstoppable.
EU Luke has been so strong in recent years that they usually have to find excuses to keep him out of the battles or else he just wrecks shop. Usually they accomplish it making him hesitant to be the aggressor for fear of falling to the Dark Side.
