I always felt this way, too. Mainly because Yoda doing his little badass stare and the Emperor look like he's about to s*** himself. Unfortunately, the time it would have taken for him to get back up and continue the conflict, I would assume the Emperor's Royal Guard and more Clonetroopers would show up, making the fight that much more unwinnable. Yoda could have won, but he had an unfortunate setback during the battle.
