"Going down faster than a sinking Snorlax!"
Score: 5/10

We start off the episode with a recap of the previous episode, ending with Combusken almost killing May. "Maybe she'll be the toast of the town!" Jesus Christ, narrator. Jesus Christ.

Combusken leaps in front of May and pecks at the fire spin, dispersing it. It then shows off for a bit before the judges give her 23.6 points on the grounds that losing control at any point is worthy of docking points. Don't worry, May. There are only three named characters in this contest, you can't fail to reach round two.

Kelly's Grumpig uses psychic to juggle some pokeblocks, which is vastly less impressive than May's performance but still earns 27.7 points.

Next contestant: "The mysterious Jesephina!" Chimecho's heal bell impresses everyone, but Jessie complains right in front of the judges that it's not as exciting as powerful, mysterious, wild, or crazy attacks, so she orders Chimecho to use astonish while grabbing it, which is an incredibly unpleasant sound that... scores a perfect 30 because apparently changing from soothing to searing sounds is brilliant because no one expects it.

Jessie, Kelly, and May all reach the second round (May just barely squeaks in), and each of them is put against a nameless extra. We then get a montage of the named characters beating the unnamed characters, until we learn that the third round is May versus Jessie and Kelly versus Nameless Man. No points for guessing who wins in Kelly's battle.

May starts winning against Jessie, when Jessie remembers that Chimecho knows double edge. This is treated as a huge deal, but Combusken dodges it and knocks it out, so it really didn't matter what attack Chimecho was using because it didn't ultimately end up using it.

May versus Kelly now. May wins. I could explain how, but it's not really interesting and it's kind of complicated to explain.

All throughout this episode, Ash trains Swellow to learn aerial ace. He eventually succeeds. I didn't mention it because it's not really funny.

This is probably the worst contest episode so far. Only Chimecho's parts are interesting.
