Oh, it has. It's just that I no longer am able to conceive of existence except by relating to the Pokemon anime.
Who, What, When, Where, Wynaut?

The heroes are screwing around some island when they see Drew practicing with his Masquerain's silver wind. May and Drew derp against each other for a while before May challenges Drew to a battle, and because it's been like forever since Drew did anything (seriously, I can't even remember his last appearance), he accepts.
Because Drew is using Masquerain, May uses Beautifly even though Combusken or Skitty are much more logical choices (they know fire and ice attacks). Because a legitimate rival battle hasn't happened for dozens of episodes and this is an interesting and rare occurrence, the writers make the completely logical choice of Team Rocket interrupting at this moment. Through a series of events so complicated I won't even try to explain them, all of the heroes and Drew get stuck in Team Rocket's submarine, which then explodes and causes them all to land on Mirage Island in three different groups.
May and Drew meet Roderick, who explains that Mirage Island is surrounded by whirlpools and no one can approach it except for him, because he's learned the whirlpools' pattern. Drew also mentions that Mirage Island is full of Lichi Berries, which are useful for making pokeblock. He knows this because, as we just established, no one can come here except Roderick. While talking with him, May and Drew fall into a river and are almost killed, but luckily a group of Wynaut save them. I especially love how May asks if they're pokemon, when they're all blue blobs that chant "Wynaut." They take them to their cave and offer them Lichi Berries and more puns with "Why not?" than you can handle. How many puns do you think you could make with "Why not?" I guarantee the answer is "fewer than the Pokemon translators can." May plays with the Wynaut in a scene that has absolutely no innuendo at all.
Team Rocket is also on the island and finds some Lichi Berries, and even though it's established that humans find Lichi Berries sour and pokemon love them, Meowth still hates them. Team Rocket steals all of the Lichi Berries, so May and Drew fight them until Roderick finds the others andblastingoffaaagain. Roderick then rewards May, but not Drew, with some free Lichi Berries even though Drew did just as much as she did to help the Wynaut.
