When Jenny attempts to arrest him by saying "You're under arrest" (that's literally all she does, no Growlithe or anything), he sends out the most logical possible pokemon for a disguise expert to have: a Golbat. He escapes with a haze attack, but Jenny reveals that she hid a transmitter inside of the ball (I won't ask why she had a transmitter on this cruise ship). They start catching him several times, and he escapes each time, eventually realizing the ball is a fake and dumping it. Max realizes Brody is probably going to try to escape using a jetpack like the last episode (even though you would have to assume jetpacks are fairly short range), so they all go up to the deck. They take their eyes off of Jenny for one moment, and suddenly, there are two of them.
Given that Pikachu has been established to have a sense of smell that can easily pick up on tracks in dense forests and it's spent the past several hours with Officer Jenny, you would think it would be able to easily tell which is the real one, but no, this is a huge problem. It's up to Brock, who can tell the difference between Officer Jennies and Nurse Joys because he studies them.
Ew. I mean, ew. There's no way that any woman in the entire world wouldn't be creeped out by a guy who studied the minute differences between her and her sisters.
Brody gives the Ribbon Cup back because he's ceased caring about this episode and escapes with his jetpack (GEE, IF ONLY YOU HAD A GUN, OFFICER JENNY.), so after some Team Rocket shenanigans, blastingoffaagain.
Actually, this is a pretty good episode. Not because of Brody, though he's entertaining, but because everything actually does come together. I was hoping for a slightly cleverer ending, where it's revealed that Jenny was Brody all along and he'd kidnapped her and hid her in a closet or something, but this still works.
