Ugh God don't even get me started on this. My mom is an avid Glenn Beck follower. Do you know what she told me the other day?
Her: "People graduating college think they deserve a job just because they have a degree. The need to earn the right to have a job."
Me: (automatically ****ed since, you know, I just ****ing graduated and can't find a job) "Well mom, what are people suppose to do to earn a job? Tell me. What can I do to earn a job?"
Her: "You need to earn it!"
Me: "What was I doing in school for four years while I was busting my butt working day and night? Not sleeping for two or three days finishing a project? I'm pretty sure I was earning my right to have a job. That's kind of what a degree is. It says hey, look at me, I did all this work to a satisfactory level, and now I'm ready to try my hand at the real world. So what else should I do to earn it?"
Her: "Go out and find one!"
Me: "What?"
Seriously. I'm a fiscal Republican/social Moderate, but I'm sorry. Glenn Beck is nothing but a fear monger.
Really needed to get that off my chest. But yeah, in conclusion, is the system ****ing flawed? Hell yes. Is it a conspiracy? **** no. Really? Come on.
