7) Even though the name of the name of the contest is "Best Sitcom Character Ever," the contest's definition of "sitcom" is loose; characters from all primarily comedic scripted programs were eligible. So, my personal recommendation would be to vote for your favorite character in each match-up, regardless of whether they're from traditional sitcom programs or not - but of course, how you vote is up to you. :P
