Yeah, the only time Mia outright gives you the answer and solves the case for you is 1-2. Every other time, it's more like she gives you a second chance (usually accompanied by a big hint, which I think is the main reason people dislike it, although most of the time, the hint alone isn't enough to actually win the case).
