Yes, I was shocked, shocked, when Twilight Princess beat Brawl. There really is no stopping these Zelda fanboys.
But seriously, I'd think results like today's are a good reason contests should continue. I mean, most people on the board didn't even take the Trainers over the Fighters, and here they are beating Clouderoth! That's an awesome upset, and if the contest had more matches like this (that actually mattered) then it would have been a lot better. Link needs to go, but other than that there's no reason to get rid of contests as a whole.
Plus, we still need that 1v1 Best Game Ever contest. Put FFVII, OoT, and MM in a tournament of champions and suddenly the winner could conceivably go 5 or 6 ways. And it would certainly actually pull decent votals based off of last year. No reason to stop just because of one bad contest.
