Which is a big reason FFX is my favorite. FFX's Big Three trumps any other game's Big Three by a wide margin (of the games that I've played, obviously).
Tidus, Yuna and Auron of course, right? They're a pretty stellar Big Three, that's for damn sure.
I don't feel like there's a Big Three with a lot going for it in FFVIII, but that's just me. As you know by now, I quite like the game relative to gaming in general but it's not to me what it is to you. (Although Squall is in my top ten video game characters; fancy them lions.)
Fei, Elly and Citan from Xenogears is still my favorite in this arena.
