TopicFor Mass Effect 2, is there any reason to mine every planet to depletion?

Same, I find it hilarious that he managed to get that amount of materials.

I mean the most you probably need is 45,000 Element Zero, and around 180,000 of everything else. 500,000 and 700,000 is just absurd.


I didn't realize I didn't need to! I thought it would unlock more missions or come in handy or something, or depleting planets would win me something, or... something.

But yeah, I've pretty much been doing EVERYTHING you can (sandbox games are horrible for my OCD, so I've never played one through besides GTA until now), but man, the flying around in my little shuttle and collecting stuff missions are so boring. And the random anomaly missions... basically anything non-recruiting or non-loyalty. But if I skip them, I'll feel weird. It's an awful position to be in! But I just want to finish the damned game and enjoy the ending and stuff. I've already put around 65hrs in.
