I remember a bunch of these stories and most of you are leaving out vital details that really got you modded
and the other half are stuff that is easily overturned
modded for illegal activities for discussing an SNES emulator. I was like "I didn't do anything wrong" and the first mod was like "emulators are illegal." then I was like "no they're not, here's legal discussions. also, I didn't break a single part of the illegal activities rules section." the second mod also upheld, though mentioned that he agreed that I didn't break the ToS and that it was just one of those unwritten decisions mods went by.
later on the same year a few of us were discussing the same emulator, were modded, but that time got them overturned. how the rules are applied seems pretty vague and inconsistent. the only thing you can be sure on is that if you are actually modded, you've got a pretty small chance of getting it overturned.
