100. Crazy Bus - Title Theme
Nominated by: Epyon

Thanks Epyon. Just thanks. You are a friend.

What's left to even say about Crazy Bus? It's the perfect theme song for humanity. It's the tangled mess of flaws and imperfections that all of us try to keep locked up inside. It's the destruction and suffering and death and unhappiness that people inflict on each other on a daily basis. To listen to Crazy Bus is to listen to everything bad in the world all at once. In some small way, we're all crazies and we're all riding the same bus.

99. G-Darius - B.T. Dutch
Nominated by: FL81

Seven minutes long (god i hope it loops somewhere in there) and only questionably music. By which I mean that i sounds like some Home Depot employee got incredibly bored one day and tried to make music using only the objects immediately around him, with limited success to the say the least. Machinery noises are something I honestly like a lot in music so B.T. Dutch had potential there, but it needs to be backed up by something, anything that I actually find pleasant to listen to. Because it cannot stand on its own. G-Darius has a ****ing weird soundtrack in general, but it has some tracks I quite enjoy, like Adam and Feature Perfect from 7. Even Kimera II is okay. This is just too out there for me.

98. Alan Wake - The Poet and the Muse
Nominated by: Kamekguy

I should probably address how I feel about songs with VOCALS because that seems to be a topic of some contention! The best way to describe it would probably be to say that I don't prefer them to instrumentals, or prefer instrumentals to songs with vocals. It's really a case by case thing, though fair warning: some songs with vocals will get very high rankings here.

...This is not one of them. I don't really like the singer here and the lyrics are kind of stupid. I'm not sure if it's trying to be deep or if it's a parody so successful that I can't even tell it's a parody, but it's dumb if you're just sort of paying attention to it and really dumb if you stop to analyze it. The poet's stories were so convincing that his lover drowned herself because she believed there really was treasure at the bottom of a lake? Moral of the story: ...don't be so good at storytelling or very stupid people will kill themselves? Maybe it makes sense/isn't dumb to people who've played Alan Wake. The song also gets really weird at about 3 minutes in, because up 'til that point it had been a sort of simple folk song and then all of a sudden ROCK AND/OR ROLL and it doesn't work very well.

97. Final Fantasy XIII - Fighting Fate
Nominated by: electricpiper

Fighting Fate starts off decent enough but then it quickly becomes kind of a loud mess. It almost seems like the sound quality is off or something because everything sounds really muddled and... bad. Or maybe the sound quality is fine and it's just bad in general. The vocals sound like someone singing from inside an organ and I cannot make out a rhyme nor a reason to any of the instrumentation. It can't decide if it wants to dark and imposing or heroic or whimsical or just a mess. And then it decides on the latter, and goes in a screechy and obnoxious direction. Fun times.
