Doing some final sidequests for ToS before I go cave Mithos' face in and I feel like doing some upkeep rankings + analysis for the main party:

-Lloyd: He should actually be a 4/week, strictly looking at feats. He casually cuts through steel even before getting the Material Blades, tanks getting shot in the back by a mega buster and gives absolutely no f***s (like, complete no-sell), solos Kratos in incredibly convincing fashion, and the Material Blades give him, at minimum, some level of teleport hax. I can see why Lloyd is a 3 (namely that it makes him a more attractive purchase, and that this way he gets to shine brighter) but I would totally take him over Henry Cooldown (Travis Touchdown but without massive personality nerfing + bossfight hype, if you don't know him) and that guy is totally a 4/week. Was super impressed by him.

-Colette: There is literally no character who would benefit more from losing their personality than Colette. She has phenomenal turbobulls*** angelic powers...but her personality is so f***ing worthless she'd be lucky to be a 2/week in spite of having access to Grand Cross and Judgement. The really f***ing funny thing is that she literally has backing for becoming soulless so you could bake that in as a pricy character upgrade for her and it'd be a total steal even if it was 30 EXP. Colette being such a useless and clumsy ditz drops her two upkeep tiers, easily.

-Raine: I'd actually like to see someone like Raine over other healbots. Her offensive capabilities are pretty limited but it's really hard to argue with 'totally homing spells and also powerbuffz'. Certainly feels better than Aeris at least. Neat 2/week.

-Genis: Does ANYBODY like Genis? Indignation's ballin' but I feel like he would get zero respect. No feats anywhere to speak of.

-Sheena: lol sheena

I have never met another character who felt so f***ing worthless to use in any RPG, and this includes Jogurt in shining force

f*** those stubby ass normals, easy 1/week unless you give her spirithax bulls***

-Kratos: Man, my respect for Kratos soared after playing this game. Just 'can cast Judgement and is not Colette' totally makes him a strong 4/week who doesn't need a minbid discount, but the fact he s***houses an entire four man party and possibly a full team of eight (depending on if you think he wins or loses in the midgame battle - the fact Lloyd later says he held back suggests he won that 1v8) makes him super legit. Add in all the feats he's got and I feel like he's maybe one step below Alucard and Ky Kiske, and more versatile than the later with his healing magic and elemental spells plus flight.

-Zelos: IDK about Zelos man. Dude feels like 'Kratos but worse', but...he's in a really weird spot. 3/week I guess?

-Presea: I really have no idea why she was in M3 over any other Tales reps (besides Lloyd). Like sure she's strong but she has no feats whatsoever. I feel like everybody besides Genis and Raine has more potential than her, even Colette. She isn't even a great tank because she is ssssssssoooooooooooooooooo sloooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwww. Solid 2/week I guess?

-Regal: Honestly was kinda floored by how casually he outshone everybody whenever he gave a s***. I have zero doubts that he's up there with Kratos for the title of strongest ToS rep (besides Mithos I guess but who'd want that dweeb in mercs). Honestly would want him in Mercs just to see what a leader who did solid research could do with him. Probably a pretty solid 4/week.
