"do you have a girlfriend" is basically universally known code for "are you gay" though
and the problem is that they're talking about CS stuff, which has no human element at all. I'm trying to play the role of the guy who's a semester ahead and being helpful and stuff and get them to like me as a person so maybe idk I'll get to hang out with them (more specifically him) later but I can't transition to "so what is your opinion on dicks" from "let's talk about proof by contradiction" smoothly enough :/
