People act like the whole nostalgia obsession thing is a recent occurance, but people have been pining for the past for forever now. Family Guy got its early fan base by CONSTANTLY, agonizingly, beating dead horses again and again. Do you think people watched shows like The Brady Bunch because they wanted to? Of course not. They had to because there were barely any tv shows on air at the time. But people look fondly on stuff like that anyway because the past can always been painted as being better than now when, oftentimes, it's not. In fact, the past is usually worse than now. And it keeps getting worse the further back you go. --- "I dont know If I believe in it, real lasting happiness, All those perky, well-adjusted people you see in movies and TV shows ?
