If you could afford a $370k house but not the taxes, you couldn't afford a $370k house. There are homes that cost $200,000 that have $8,500+ in property taxes per year. Maybe next time you can do some research before talking out of your ass. Edit: Not to mention that there are homes that were affordable before the property taxes went up 200% or 300% in a single year.
