I'm as far left as it gets and Trump is awful, but it would be waaaaay worse with Pence, Ryan or McConnell as President. The good news is Trump is so incompetent that everyone is busy cleaning up his messes and not advancing awful Republican agendas.

If Trump gets impeached, then I hope the three stooges go down with him for being either linked or complicit in the ongoing scandal.

I'm moderate, and totally agree.
Pence scares the shit out of me, he's everything Trump is on financial and environmental policy (actually more so) with the added bit of being a christian jihadist, hellbent on turning our country into a theocracy.
Plus he gets along better w/ Republicans, so he'd actually get their agenda accomplished.

McConnell is probably the scummiest politician in the country but thankfully has several people ahead of him in line.

Paul Ryan wants an Ayn Randian economic hellscape, but so do Trump, Pence, and McConnell so nothing worse on that front, and he's at least not a religious extremist. Best of the bad options to succeed an impeached Trump.

Democrats need to be very careful here. DO NOT rush this investigation. Demand it to be as thorough as possible to ensure the process is carried out fairly (staunch Trump voters' anger that "they couldn't beat him in the vote (even though they did) so they're using dirty tricks" cause you know it's coming). This also means keeping dysfunctional Trump in office longer instead of Republican best-buds Pence or Ryan. Ideally, the proceedings carry on long enough for Dems to have a chance to re-take the House in 2018. At a minimum, they need to try and make sure Pence is tied into the scandal, so he is impeached, too and we get lesser-evil Ryan (ideally it goes into 2019 and a Dem speaker comes in line for the office). Which itself will take time.
