Topic | You're hosting a 20 person pregame that's essentially byob |

From Western Canada (Calgary), I can confirm Maybe it's a Canadian thing, or maybe it's me being in a family and circle of friends where everyone drinks, but me, and pretty much everyone I know, will BYOB to basically everything - the possible exception is maybe small family dinner parties (but even then I'm usually bringing something). If I go to a friends dinner party I'm definitely bringing booze, and so will all the guests, but the host will generally have something on hand.... definitely not enough to support the party though. I'm 32 now, so if I'm hosting something I'll definitely have something on hand, generally lots, but in my teenage years and young adulthood, if you didn't bring enough you better hope your friends like you or hope you're near a liquor store, because you'd be SOL otherwise. --- "Guess who decided to bob along with you to the pool....your period"-TV ...
