In that same year there's are also 21000 suicides by firearm. There are 459 accidental deaths by firearm injury for children 0 - 14. Guns are more fatally dangerous to children in homes than burglars are to homeowners. A gun in your house makes you more likely to die by your own hand, or by the hand of someone else with that gun. Or for those living in your home to die. That's why you keep that shit locked up if you have it. Burglars do their best to break in when people aren't home.
