But here is the actual problem.

Not enough actual comedies. Marvel movies are legit, but they set a "bar of gross sales" that is way higher than it should be. If you look at numbers available. Most marvel movies have a low irr compared to other classic movies.

But spend a billion dollars to make. 1.1 billion and that's apparently better than spending 25m to make 500m.

Either way the industry must push for one real comedy every month.
