I'm not really familiar with the politics of the boy scouts, do they really hit the Trump supporter demographic or were they giving Trump the benefit of the doubt? Because his speech was just awful. The president is the honorary leader of the scouts, so - as a matter of tradition - he's always invited. But the scouts are supposed to be non-partisan and the presidents are expected to adhere to that and keep their speeches free of politics. Which Trump completely didn't do. TigerTycoon posted... the leaders of the boy scouts are apologizing because anti-trump people complained that he was invited to speak at all. No one cares that Trump was invited - he's the president, he's going to get invited, that part's fine. The problem is he gave a flat-out ridiculous speech that had no place being given to a bunch of teenagers and pre-teens. --- Kill 1 man: You are a murderer. Kill 10 men: You are a monster.
