| MrMelodramatic 08/13/17 1:03:17 PM #1: | I went to a memorial service yesterday for this guy who was a huge donor to my university, and also a big member of the community. It was at this huge church and over a thousand people came. Maybe even two thousand. Well anyway, I was up on stage or whatever, and the guy leading the service gets up on the mic and welcomes everyone, etc. and asks them all to join him in reciting Psalm 23, which I guess was one of the guy's favorite passages from the Bible and also appropriate for the service. He asked everyone to say it with him, so we could all be united in this trying time of grief. And then everyone said it. I could look out into the pews and everyone was reciting, without any reference. And the people standing next to me on stage were, too. I was literally the only person on stage not reciting because I didn't know it. So I guess I'm asking if it's common knowledge and I'm just stupid or if it's one of those south texas things I'm just not used to. --- Proud to be EPic Texas Aggie, Class of 2018 A-Whoop! ...
