What I really like about living up North(above the Arctic Circle to be precise) is that we have way less bugs than in warmer parts.
And especially where I live we have a really stable weather and no real risks of disasters.

Floods are impossible because my town is around huge mountains(and around 500m above sea level as well).
We might have very strong winds every once in a while but never near catastrophic.

During summers, the sun is up 24/7 and around December we almost don't have any sun at all.

Oh yeah, we also have Aurora Borealis. Pretty cool stuff.
