Waking up early in the morning on a chilly fall day, drinking an ice cold beer with my friends.

I've been thinking about the Fall a lot. especially because I likely won't really see it for a long time. I'm gonna miss the leaves changing color.

I specifically worded it that way but I was gonna meme it up myself but I felt like it'd take away from the sincerity of what I was saying.

The only stories I hear about folk retiring is when they go and live in some other country so eh. I wouldn't want to live down south though. Even more so London. *shudders*

actually a lot do move south. but its mostly for the warmer weather, old folks don't like the cold much because joint pains and what not.

I used to work construction in this huge neighborhood (over 1000 homes and over 1000 more scheduled to be built) and almost all of them where retired yankees.

I prefer warmer as to why I said I prefer the south. but I like where i'm at, its not blistering hot in the summer and it does get cold in the winter but usually not too bad.

also I like living in heavily forested areas and where I live is just that. one of the most heavily forested states in the country

Really depends on where in the North you live, though. In NY, for instance, you'd really need to go upstate or somewhere else for the foliage.

You won't be so thankful soon. Winter is coming.

What I really like about living up North(above the Arctic Circle to be precise) is that we have way less bugs than in warmer parts.
And especially where I live we have a really stable weather and no real risks of disasters.

Floods are impossible because my town is around huge mountains(and around 500m above sea level as well).
We might have very strong winds every once in a while but never near catastrophic.

During summers, the sun is up 24/7 and around December we almost don't have any sun at all.

Oh yeah, we also have Aurora Borealis. Pretty cool stuff.

America's south and England's south aren't really comparable. People retire in Florida because of the year long weather, access to the beach, and it's RV country down there.

Kudos for Winter is comming line.

Cept I love winter, I love rain, and I even like snow.

I almost actively hate summer to be honest, even though it's always 69 in my house (not in a dirty way!).

When I go shopping etc and it's freaking 90+ out, it hits me hard since I have the temp so cool in my house, I should change that, but meh, rather be uncomfortable a few times a week then all the time.

Yes we do get blizzards from time to time but it never gets catastrophically bad.
Other than an unusual amount of snow everywhere it's not too terribly bad.
The children are usually happy when they get more snow to play in though.

Yes. But you can also see it up in the sky at night ; )

Umm... No.

Unless you look it up on Google. Then I guess you can see it.
