What is so special about the fast food workers where they all get to demand a $15 minimum wage, but no other jobs getting minimum wage can do the same? Either make the minimum wage $15 across the board at the federal and state level or just forget about it entirely.

But let's not all act like running a fryolator is some specialized skill and driving a forklift isn't.

Having worked in both fast food and in a warehouse, I found forklift a lot easier and less stressful, and it doesn't really take much skill, and it paid 50% more. IMO, the minimum should rise across the board (and here it is, thankfully). If that means that it's more economical to automate some of those jobs, so be it. Not all of them can be automated, and the duty that will inevitably get shunted to other employees for the things that automation can't take care of will more than justify the increased wage.
