As a rapper, Eminem works within the urban community and caters to urban groups. Therefore, attacking somebody disliked helps him overcome accusations that, merely because he's white, he likes Trump who they hate. Humorously you can contrast that against the Dixie Chicks, a country band which stupidly chose to virtue-signal by criticizing a conservative president (Just so you know, were on the good side with yall.
