I still think the tone of AAI1 is lighter overall though. Just compare the culprits. Portsman, Cammy, and Lance are just absurd and not meant to be taken seriously. AJ throws serious culprits at you right from the get-go. I think AJ throws absurd premises at you, but I don't know that they're meant to be lighthearted.
