That also wouldn't make sense because they said there was only enough fuel for 1 more jump. If you could use less fuel to travel less, they could've used just a bit of it to get to a move favorable planet with a rebel base and then defend themselves there. But it definitely seems more like there is a huge fuel cost to entering hyperspace. Probably some different fuel usage based on distance traveled, but the jump itself should take the majority of the energy, which is seen in how destructive it can be as a suicide bomb. --- _foolmo_ 2 + 2 = 4 ...
