This week you spend half the episode on some stupid story telling book?!! Cardcaptor Sakura has always been like this though. And a lot of the original was spent wondering why Sakura sucks so much at using all her cards :P. I guess the appeal of it is in the overall feel of the series, which is just a feel good, excessively vanilla experience. There isn't even really a bad guy in the original, just that the cards are causing mischief and Sakura has to stop them, which is how the story begins and ends Clear Card has been putting a bit more focus on the slice-of-life aspect though. I'm watching the dub so I'm a couple of episodes behind, but it definitely feels like there's been a lot more of the cute and relaxing scenes and less of the high-stakes stuff, even compared to the original series. I find it nice and refreshing since I like slice-of-life shows a lot, but I understand why others might want to see more tension and higher stakes in the series.
