He was expelled from Duke University in North Carolina just days before he was to graduate as he was found responsible for sexual misconduct by an internal university investigation He was studying for a psychology degree before he met an 18 y/o girl at the bar when he was 22 They went back to Sigma Nu Frat House where he was a fraternity brother and said they had "consensual sex" but the investigation found it was "more likely than not" it was non-consensual because of the amount of alcohol the girl had consumed and he was SOBER!! He was never charged over the incident and sued the university for breach of contract claiming he wasn't given a fair hearing. Following the lengthy dispute, he officially go this degree 4 years later at the end of December 2017 and his university transcripts were cleaned He's now registered as a Duke University alumnus and said the allegations and almost 5 year battle to clear his name had taken its toll Lewis said "I've received many job offers and they've either been taken away from me upon hearing about the case or i've told them about it and it was taken away from me" His reputation was "completely destroyed" overnight and he lost his friends over the allegations Lewis said "people who you once thought were friends are no longer friends" He was to take a job in the New York Financial District before allegations emerged.
