Topic | If you ever get a Security Clearance, hold onto it like you would an only child |
ChaosTonyV4 08/05/18 2:46:17 AM #1: | I used to have a security clearance when I was in the Air Force doing IT. It expired 2 years after I got out, and the only way to get one is to be sponsored by the Government or an company that has a Government contract. There are 100+ open IT jobs in my area, according to places like ZipRecruiter and USAJobs. I've only found literally 5 that don't explicitly require an Active Clearance, and none of them will sponsor you to GET a clearance, which means my job pool is way smaller than what I'm qualified for otherwise. tl;dr if you have one, hold onto it --- Phantom Dust.
