I watched the whole season, and I have to say, the show is kind of an extension of the problem with streaming release everything at the same time type shows.

It seems like the whole first season is a pilot. Everyone kind of bounces off each other awkwardly, and there's no defined character lines until the last two episodes, the second it starts to pick up steam, it's over. Which seems typical for shows I've seen air on Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime.

I'll watch season 2. I didn't expect this show to be great going in, but I love the people who work on it enough to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Hmm. Maybe it will be like a Bob's Burgers where the first season is kinda meh and flies under the radar, but then picks up steam and becomes really popular.

hopefully it being matt groening get's enough people to watch it that it doesn't get cancelled right away, as netflix has been doing a lot lately with shows that were probably better than this one is.

maybe "a lot" is an overstatement, but i'm pretty bitter that everything sucks and the break both got cancelled immediately despite both being really good shows. everything sucks took a little while to find itself, but finished really strongly, at least for the female leads. the male characters were all pretty mediocre. the break was great from the beginning.
