It's so ridiculous to me that people can find comedy to be tasteless or offensive.
Comedy is laughter. That is all. You either laugh, which is a great experience. Or you don't, which is neutral. There is nothing negative about comedy at all.
When you research this show, that's all anybody says. "Considered offensive and tasteless". It's like...gee whiz, sorry for trying to get people to laugh. What a shitty thing I've done.
Should racial stereotypes be considered offensive if the goal is laughter?
If the goal is laughter, then the laughter is rooted in irony or some sort of "laugh at the dumb character" type of humor, which if one understand these concepts should realize that nobody is laughing because racism in and of itself is funny.
