Final Fantasy would be a tough one to stomach again without modern day features. I've had many of bad memories of trying to get back to town to save only to die on the way and losing all my progress.

Then I'm certain some of the earliest PS1 games would be hard to look at. Normally graphics aren't a concern. The problem is all the huge textures and poly's make the game quite muddy looking on modern TV's. 2D sprites never get old.

I do feel the the sprites of the later games on the SNES and Super Famicom to be better than the early polygons of the PS1. Not exactly a fair comparison given one is at the peak of the previous console while the other is at the early stages of the latter but like you said, 2D sprites never get old.
