I've never played any of the Dark Souls series and didn't play much of Demon's Souls, so I think I lack enough reference to "get" this song. Skimming the comments, I see a lot about what the music symbolizes and what not, but I have no idea who any of the characters being discussed are.

Without any knowledge of the symbolism, the music is....nice. I've become rather numb to every game with even mild RPG elements trying to sound EPIC, to a point that this song just fades into the background until it shifts to the far more subdued piano section... but without knowing, or caring, what the piano symbolizes it's still just sorta there.
