I feel like I can almost follow the meaning of this song, sorta. Kinda. Then I try to connect the title to the song itself and I'm completely lost again.

Good song, but it loses some points for not even being the best Fair to Midland song on this list.

It's quite nice. Good voice, above-average lyrics, a bit of computer effects distorting her voice--not often enough for my tastes, but she does give me a neat echo effect near the end of the song--but it never really wows me. I enjoy the song, but it ends quickly and doesn't leave enough of a lasting impression.


[FINAL NOTES: I don't know why, but I can never remember anything about this song as soon as it ends. Whenever I hear it, I always feel "wow, that was a good song!" and then I can't recall any of it. It's quite odd.]

[FINAL-ER NOTES: ...Though now, perhaps ironically, I'm confusing it with Flawless--the other song I could never clearly remember. This is the one with the video with her walking a lot of dogs, right? And yet, every time I try to remember this song, a different one pops into my head. Thus far, in no particular order:

How Simple
Fake Happy
Nobody
Hunnybee
How Simple (for the third or fourth time)
Fault Line
...are we sure this song isn't How Simple because that's like the only thing coming to mind anymore?

....And after trying really, really hard to think of something I came up with: "Maybe it's that "Here I am again at the reserve to drink" song" for a minute before remembering, oh yeah, that's the outro to How Simple.

.....I feel like I should retroactively boost that song about 50 rankings higher, but that's still not helping me recall this one. I know it'd all come back to me if I had a note or a word or two from the chorus, but now I'm determined to remember at least a bit of the chorus without outside help. Especially since I actually do like this song.

*finally gives up and looks up the lyrics*

Yeah, I was never going to get that. Still a good song though!
