If you're going with a "we are the [non-human creature], they are the [human]" metaphor, don't immediately follow it with the humans chasing their tails. It doesn't work. On the other hand, this song was pretty much guaranteed to get into the top 100 thanks to the "we are the foxes" line alone. Also, I guess it's pretty clever that the song is a secret recording, to emphasize that Taylor can never escape regardless of what she says.
