Raetsel_Lapin 10/11/18 2:13:02 PM #291: | ==================================================== 68: Song Name: The Planets - Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity Song Origin: Gustav Holst Song Link: Nominator: handsomeboy2012 (4/15) Considering how influential this song (and the entire suite of songs for that matter) remains to soundtracks, it is almost bafflingly modern compared to what I expect from classical music. Very well done. [FINAL NOTES: Of course the best classical song I've ever heard can only manage to get into the top 70 , so I doubt I'll be changing my stance on that genre anytime soon. Still a great song.] ==================================================== ==================================================== 67: Song Name: The Spark of the Archon Song Origin: Native Construct Song Link: Nominator: TheArkOfTurus (6/10) This song should be my thing, but it's hurt by the fact that I don't care about the story they're trying to tell. "Sinister Silence" doesn't exactly inspire fear or an interest in learning more. The chanting of a fictional language doesn't really work for me, because why is the rest of the song in English? That being said, the song is impressive and I like how it keeps changing throughout. The aquatic section starting around 4:20 is a candidate for most beautiful section of any song on the entire list, but the sheer variety of styles on display here keeps me from assigning too high of a score to any one specific section. It's a unique experience, but I need a better story to really pull me into it. [FINAL NOTES: Yeah, this song's quality is too all over the place to raise any further than this.] ==================================================== --- M.U.G.E.N.
