Yes, I wanted more rap music. Yes, I was complaining that most of the other nominations were too hardcore or too hard to understand without more familiarity with the genre. Yes, I was complaining that some songs were dealing with too serious a subject matter. "Here's a simple, happy rap song with references to The Simpsons and Febreeze!" Yeah, I guess that's the literal definition of what I was looking for. Just....too literal, maybe?
