But yeah, that is indeed Lillie and Mallow dressed as Utena Tenjo and Anthy Himemiya. This is an amazing reference for a few different reasons: 1) The original Pokemon Indigo League anime made its Japanese television premiere on 4/1/1997, just one single day before Revolutionary Girl Utena made its own premiere. 2) Rachel Lillis played the English voice of both Misty (in all of her Pokemon appearances except her recent return in the Sun/Moon series) and Utena Tenjo. 3) Yuri teasing?
