I am not religious, but even if you are not, you might consider reaching out to a local church. They usually have many volunteer opportunities, and could probably pick you up on the way to them (or come get you, or if the church is close you could just walk there).

Often nice/good people at churches, and it is another way to socialize and meet new people. Might not be perfect for you, but it could get you out of the house at least and give you a place to start.

If you have money, you can use uber etc without having to pay for a car. In fact, if you do it less then twice a week it's cheaper then paying for insurance/registration/gas etc, I almost got rid of my car because of that.

And that is saying there isn't cheaper public transportation near you.

Also if you use the internet to find meetups etc, or DnD groups, often someone else in the group can pick you up. If the local Library is near you, they usually have a room for get togethers and it's likely you could find something to do there (or set up your own meetup there). You could also read to kids etc if you wanted they are often looking for volunteers for that.

I get that it's hard to find the motivation to even look for anything, but once you start, it gets easier and easier. The hardest part is getting out of the rut, once you have fallen into the habbit of just doing the bare minimum and just trying to find things to pass the time, with the minimum effort possible.

The less you do, the harder it is to try and start doing anything, and the more overwhelming that feels. All I can say is start with small steps, even if it's just walking around your neighborhood for 30 minutes or so a night. Just getting out and doing anything can help you start moving forward.
