It's one of the things that I absolutely HAVE to do soon.

You don't have to do it soon. You can do it now (well, not RIGHT now, because it's a little late to be making dinner, but you know what I mean). There's absolutely no reason to procrastinate this because it's something that you can start any time, and that you can benefit from any time (because who doesn't like having tasty food on demand).

I just hope I could do it well.

That's not really the right attitude to be approaching this with. Of course you hope you do it well. Everybody hopes that. Nobody starts cooking and says "I hope this sucks" (with some specific exceptions). Saying that now establishes not doing well as a failure state, which is not the right way to look at this. The ultimate goal is for you to learn to cook, and cooking a few terrible dishes is an inevitable part of that process. I doubt you could find a chef in the world that has never burned grilled cheese. Even if your first attempt at dinner fails, don't think of that as any sort of broader failure outside of that specific meal. Learn from it and move forward.

If you end up posting your ingredient situation here instead of PMing, tag me in the post, since I might otherwise miss it.
