The very short version of my belief is that we all live each others lives, over and over again.

Slightly longer version is....in the begging there was one entity, and it was seriously bored. I mean, the word bored doesn't come close to describing it. So it created rules and set up the universe in an explosion.

Thing is, all those rules were easy for it to figure out and everything was predictable, so yeah, still bored to tears. Even with life and tons of creatures, it was dull. So this entity basically split it's consciousness up among all thinking creatures, living each life separately and compartmentalized.

Meanwhile the laws the it created cause the universe to expand and then eventually contract, and this happened over and over again, until eventually, it fell into a pattern, expanding and contracting in exactly the same way, and over time every single thing in the universe fell into a pattern that just repeated.

So now that is where we all are, we all eventually live every single life in the pattern, which repeats over and over again and will never stop.

I'm not going door to door selling my idea, but...that is what makes sense to me.
