I would say the majority of the 1st world works the jobs they can get to make ends meet and get by. Only a lucky minority get a "career" they enjoy and even smaller few get their absolute dream careers where it doesn't even feel like work to them. Most of us slave away at something we'd rather not be doing to make that money that allows them to live and HOPEFULLY let them afford to do things they enjoy on their off time. But most people work a job and it's simply work. I agree. I don't think most people, or even a lot, work a job they actually like.
