I don't like mob characters and I dislike thinking that someone like Fisk can just manipulate people and gain power in his situation. When he's doing his manipulations it grinds my gears, thus, I don't like him.

His manipulations are logical, though. The only kinda flimsy one was Dex, although he was mentally unstable and in search of a parent figure so his tactics *kinda* made sense... and laid the seeds for Dex turning on him

iirc, Nadeem asks her and she responds that she used to have two children, before adding that Fisk's men made it look like an accident. A similar thing was done in the Lethal Weapon tv series where it turns out that Murtaugh's wife was killed to get at her dad, using her death to make him more fearful for his remaining kids
