In just a few short days, Momo sprung up and disappeared as quick as she arrived. And yet, it's hard to get her face out of my head. The first time you lay your eyes on Momo you will undoubtedly be at least a little freaked. Her giant eyes and horrid grin seem out of place in such a realistic image, and you may even think to yourself, "Could this be a real monster or even a person?" Then you dig a little deeper and learn of Momo's cursed phone number on WhatsApp and the suicide game associated with it. It all adds up to a little urban legend perfect for late night storytelling amongst friends. I really quite enjoy stuff like this, and I try to ignore a lot of the bullshit that also comes with it. YouTube clickbait runs rampant with Momo even today, as people try and use her image for cheap scares, fake pranks, and even faker calls. A lot of the fear factor with Momo gets greatly diminished not only by these dime store videos, but when I saw Momo's chicken legs, I laughed at the sheer absurdity of the entire thing. In reality, Momo is an art sculpture designed by Link Factory, which is cool, but makes Momo more of an absurdist statement rather than a fearsome icon of horror.

Whether you love her or hate her, the short story of Momo was also undoubtedly an interesting one either way.
