I still don't understand this vomit pile you call an electoral system.

There is an electoral college...distributed by population.

There is a house of representatives...distributed by population.

There is a senate...distributed evenly among all states.

How does anything ever get done?

It was supposed to be designed this way.

It was designed poorly.

Just because you do not understand that the US is a federation of semi-sovereign states does not mean that elections and representation systems are poorly designed.

That might be relevant if that were still true. We haven't been a federation of semi-sovereign states since the end of the Civil War. Which is good because a federation of semi-sovereign states is a piss poor system.
